Marine Pollution by State-Owned Companies in Offshore Areas Reviewed Based on the 1982 UNCLOS (Case Study: Oil Spill by PT Pertamina in Offshore Area of North Karawang)

On July 12 2019, there was a pipe leak and gas bubble oil spill belonging to PT Pertamina. Pertamina's pipeline in Karawang waters which has an impact from the threatens ecosystem people around waters. Marine pollution cannot be seen only as problem that occurs sea, because oceans land are unit separated affected by one another. As result of this incident, arose regarding legal liability due caused marine This research uses normative juridical method. The purpose is find out regulation actions carried Pertamina offshore area analyze form accountability. results study can concluded, firstly, based on UNCLOS 1982 contained Articles 192, 194, 195, 196 Law Number 32 2009 concerning Environmental Protection Management.
